It's getting closer!

Fall is just around the corner! I didn't think it could happen, but it was considerably cooler Sunday for Labor Day. We had a nice family BBQ, dining outside al fresco. I made coconut and chocolate cupcakes (some in ice-cream cones- so retro) for dessert. I ordered my Halloween supplies last week, so come back to take a peek. There is some cute stuff for cupcakes! Have any of you read the new Sept/Oct (Paula Deen) magazine? It has great Halloween ideas as well as a recipe for Pumpkin Crisp. I can't wait to try it out. Send me a comment if you decide to make it anytime soon. I want to thank all you visitors to my site for leaving such great comments! I appreciate them! Have a great Tuesday!

I walked in B&N and always browse the magazines first. I had no idea had Paula had her own magazine. I will try out her new receipe.Halloween is one of my husbands favorite holiday. It is so hard to resist purchasing all the decoations and food/desserts. A trick I learned recently for all u scrapbookers, use your holiday stamps with a liitle foodcoloring and stamp on designed on your cupcakes. Simply use a brush to paint onto the stamp before stamping each time. Be sure cupcakes are really cold. Also make your own colored sugar with a zip lock bag and a few drops of food coloring. Zip and press the sugar around. I need to order some brown cupcake liners soon.

Can't wait to see your halloween item!
