Faux Fall it's back to Summer!

Today is Friday and it's getting a lot warmer. At the beginning of the week it felt like Fall, with cool breezes, a drop in temperature and a pumpkin sighting at the local pumpkin patch! Yes, the baby pumpkins are already sprouting up and are visible from the highway. I love this pumpkin patch in October- a sea of orange globes for miles on end! What a beautiful site. In October my favorite things to bake are; pumpkin bread, pumpkin bars, spice cupcakes and apple crisp. YUM YUM! Not only the taste, but the aroma of pumpkin or apples & cinnamon baking is delightful! I came across some Saigon Cinnamon from Penzy's and just love it. I have a little hint or words of wisdom for you at home bakers. When you find a recipe that comes out great and tastes great, MAKE A NOTE OF IT! I have tried so many recipes and wasted a lot of $$ on premium ingredients, especially chocolate. I have a handful of recipes that I swear by and have exchanged these with my neighbors, who also love to bake. This weekend I will be meeting up at the bakery for a wedding cake consultation and also have a friend (x neighbor) coming up to visit the neighbors on the block. I am really excited to see her! Have a great weekend!
